FENSA Card and your Individual Compliance (MTC)

by Charlotte Jackson | Apr 03, 2017

FENSA has recently launched a new card – the “FENSA Member ID Card” (informally known as the “FENSA Card”).

What happens to the FENSA MTC card?

Existing FENSA MTC Cards out in the marketplace are still valid up to the expiry date on the card. No more new FENSA MTC Cards will be issued in the future. The FENSA MTC Card will be superseded by the new “FENSA Card”.

What is ‘Individual Compliance’?

Individual Compliance is the new term for Minimum Technical Competency (MTC). You can learn more about Individual Compliance by visiting Routes to Compliance.

What if I have already completed my Individual Compliance (MTC)?

If you are a FENSA installer/surveyor and you have already achieved your Individual Compliance (MTC) through the previously known FENSA MTC Card (or other industry equivalent), you can apply today through Helix Training for the price of £20+VAT (£24.00).

What if I’m currently going through the Individual Compliance (MTC) process?

If you are a FENSA installer/surveyor and you are in the process of achieving your Individual Compliance (MTC) through the previously known “FENSA MTC Card”, you will automatically receive the newly launched FENSA Card instead at no added cost.

Is there an expiry date on the FENSA Card?

Yes, the FENSA Card is valid for two years from issue. The expiry date of the FENSA Card is separate to the renewal date of MTC compliance.
