What you will need in PPE to attend the course:

Due to the practical nature of this course and it taking place in a live working environment, all attendees must ensure they wear the following PPE:

  • Hi-Visibility Vest
  • Cut Resistant Gloves
  • Hard Hat
  • Safety Glasses
  • Safety Shoes/Boots

Course Outcomes

By the end of the training, attendees will be able to:

  • Confidently risk assess the manual handling situation they face
  • Know and apply the Essential 4 Principles
  • Personally experience the benefits of using the techniques
  • Understand the effect manual handling has on the body
  • Apply the Principles both at work and in the home environment

Manual Handling 'Passing on the Principles' Training - POPS

POPS - Passing on the Principles

Pristine Condition can also offer POPS training, bespoke for the glazing industry.

As well as practical hands-on training, the POPS programme would include a fully presented Audio Visual Production (AVP), capturing the key tasks of your employees. The AVP not only provides your POPS coaches with a supporting tool for onward delivery, ensuring consistency of training, but also a definitive record of the course content.

What does the training involve?

  • Full-day interactive manual handling training
  • Short theory section introducing the Principles
  • Practical, task specific training
  • How to use the supporting materials to onward deliver
  • TRACA ® unique monitoring tool - enabling POPS coaches to spot incorrect technique and correct it
  • E-certification

Course outcomes:

By the end of the training, attendees will be able to:

  • Apply the Pristine Condition Principles both at work and in the home environment
  • Onwardly deliver training of these Principles, aligned to the Audio Visual Production
  • Correctly utilise the supporting POPS pack
  • Identify both correct and incorrect manual handling techniques
  • Provide guidance where incorrect technique is encountered
  • Implement an effective TRACA ® monitoring system
